Our method
A reading should be honest, grounded, and your own.
Dishamukhi is a small studio inside Undercurrent Labs in Bengaluru. We believe Vedic astrology, done carefully, is one of the most quietly useful gifts a person can receive in a lifetime. Done carelessly, it becomes noise. This page is how we keep our work on the honest side of that line.
Calculated from your true sky
Every chart is computed from your birth date, time, and place using sidereal positions and the Lahiri ayanamsa — the standard followed across classical Jyotish. We geocode your birth city to its exact coordinates and timezone, then place each planet in its nakshatra, sign, and house. Your current Mahadasha and Antardasha are derived from the Vimshottari system. Nothing in the reading is invented.
Rooted in the classical canon
Interpretations draw from Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Phaladeepika, Saravali, Jataka Parijata, and Brihat Jataka. When a yoga, aspect, or dasha effect is described, it is the one the texts describe — cited naturally where it adds weight, never invented for drama.
Written like a letter, not a forecast
The reading is composed in the voice of a trusted family astrologer — warm, specific, and unhurried. You choose your depth (Story, Balanced, or Full Jyotish), your language (English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu), and the area of life that matters most to you right now. We write to that.
A note on what astrology is for
Jyotish does not promise to fix your life or foretell a fixed fate. At its best, it offers language — for a season you are entering, a tendency you carry, a remedy worth trying. We write each reading with that humility in mind. The decisions remain yours.
